Who can submit a program proposal?

All SEAHO members are eligible to submit a program proposal.

New Professionals, graduate students or first time presenters : We would love to see you submit a proposal. If you are  not sure what to propose or how to approach submitting a proposal, reach out to a supervisor, mentor or peer to see if they are willing to submit a proposal with you. You have valuable ideas and experience, finding a co-presenter can help make the proposal and presentation process feel less scary and more doable.

Seasons professionals or returning presenters : We would love to see what innovative approaches or ideas you have been focused on over the last year. Take some time to think about if there is someone on your campus or another that would be a good co-presenter. Are there new professionals or someone who has never presented before you know that is looking for experience that you would be willing to partner with to submit a proposal. This is a great opportunity to mentor and empower the future professional in Housing.

Corporate partners : You can present at SEAHO alongside a SEAHO member. Have a campus based professional that you have worked regularly with or one you want to build a relationship with, reach out to them to see if they would be interested in taking your partnership to the next level by submitting a program proposal.

Resources

Are you unsure of what topic you’d like to present on or wondering what or how much information you should include in your proposal? Check out our Creating a Successful Program Proposal  and an Example Program Proposal .

Topic Options:

The Programming Committee has developed the topical areas below to help guide and shape your program submissions. All the categories below address a need or niche within our profession and we would love to offer programs in all these areas. Please consider your areas of expertise and submit a program proposal within one of these topics.

 SEAHO U

SEAHO-U is a complimentary opportunity for all conference participants to connect and collaborate in a pre conference setting. This year's theme, "Preparing U for the Future," is dedicated to equipping housing professionals across all functional areas to adeptly navigate the evolving dynamics and demands of our workforce.
In addition to proposal submissions for the above topic areas, we invite program submissions that will:
• Engage participants in identifying innovative and sustainable staffing models to address workforce trends.
• Encourage rethinking and reimagining considerations for student and professional positions as institutions face complex challenges including increased accommodation requests, occupancy demands, heightened mental health concerns, and evolving facilities needs and uses.
• Present processes and strategies designed to enhance and sustain student and professional employee wellness and retention.
Proposals that align with this topic area will be considered for both SEAHO-U and conference sessions and acceptances will clearly communicate if presentations are accepted for one or both. Join us in shaping the future of housing professionals. Submit your presentations and be part of the conversation that prepares us for the challenges and opportunities ahead.
