At each annual conference you will note the presence of two special items. They preside over all formal gatherings and are passed from President to President as a symbol of the care-taking of our Association
Like the Two-Step Blanket, the Cromag is placed on stage next to the podium at all SEAHO Conference events.
Hand-carved by Jim Anderson of Fantagraph and made especially for SEAHO in February 2004, our Cromag - also commonly referred to as a Cromach - is in the style of Celtic walking stick.
The accompanying letter of dedication stated, "This gift is my way of saying ‘Thank You’ for you letting me be a part of your association for the past 27 years. I have taken great pride in working with SEAHO throughout this time. Many of the members and other vendors have become long time friends as well as business associates. I think that I can speak for all the vendors who have been with for five years or longer when I say that SEAHO puts on the best of the exhibitor shows in our industry! I leave this with you as a reminder for you to continue building the future of SEAHO on the pillars of education.”
SEAHO is grateful to Jim for the many years he was our Associate and we thank him for this generous and beautiful symbol of his dedication to SEAHO. We will, as he suggests, continue to build the future of SEAHO on the pillars of education.
As part of SEAHO's 50th Anniversary Celebration at the 2014 Conference, Jim was presented with a Resolution of Appreciation, honoring him and his service.
