RELI 2017 Co-Chairs

Calvin Mosley currently serves as the Associate Director of Residence Life with the Department of Housing and Residence Education at the University of Florida. A native of Edwards Mississippi Calvin got his Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Mississippi State University in 1998 and his Master’s Degree in Counselor Education from Mississippi State University in 2000. Calvin also received a degree in Biblical Studies from Agape College in Little Rock, Arkansas in 2007.  

Calvin has worked in student affairs for over 16 years. While an undergraduate he was an RA for three years. While living on campus at MSU, he also held positions such as founding member of the Resident Advisor Association, conference assistant, academic advisor to the freshman area, and student recruiter. Since graduating with his master’s degree in 2000 Calvin has worked as a Professional Hall Director at East Carolina University, an Area Coordinator at the University of Central Arkansas, an Associate Director for Residence Life at Mississippi State University and currently as the Associate Director for Residence Life at the University of Florida. Calvin has proudly served the State of Mississippi and the SEAHO Region. Within the SEAHO Region. 

Calvin has proudly served as the Associates Committee Chair in 2011, as a Faculty Member for RELI in 2013 and will serve as the Co-Chair for RELI in 2016 and 2017. Of equal importance Calvin has also served as the President Elect and President of the Mississippi Association of Housing Officers (MAHO). It is a passion of his to mentor young professionals and do his part to ensure they have a long and successful career. Calvin loves spending time with his wife of 15 years, Eliscia and his two children, Taylor and Jonathan. In his spare time Calvin enjoys working out, watching sports and spending time with his family.  



Lauren Taylor currently serves as Assistant Vice President for Residential and University Services at Samford University (Birmingham, AL) where she has worked since 2001.Lauren received her B.A. in Political Science from Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, TN.  While working as a Resident Director at Samford, Lauren obtained her M.A. in Higher Education Administration from The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL. 

Lauren’s plan was to leave Samford upon completion of graduate school, however, those plans changed as she continued to work at Samford in a variety of roles -- Director of Residence Life, Assistant Director of Residence Life, Residence Life Coordinator, and Hall Director.  Lauren also teaches a Freshmen Seminar class each Fall.

Lauren is involved in several higher education professional associations.  She served as the SEAHO Conference Co-Host in 2009; SEAHO Host Committee Member in 2015; SEAHO program presenter; ACUHO-I program presenter; Alabama Association of Housing Officers (ALAHO) President in 2010; and RELI Faculty Member in 2013.  In 2017 and 2018, Lauren will continue to serve as the Co-Chair for RELI.  In her spare time, Lauren enjoys spending time with friends and family as well as traveling.
