Opportunities

Committees and Charges

Associates Committee 
Responsible for recruiting and serving as a liaison to Associates (Vendors) who support the Associations activities.

Awards and Recognition Committee 
Responsible for Coordinating the nomination and selection process for all Association awards and recognition programs.

Educational Programs Committee 
Responsible for identifying and collecting model educational programs, trends, critical issues and disseminating the information to the Association's members through the SEAHO Report, a Research Grant Program and the annual conference, etc.

Graduate Issues and Involvement Committee       
Responsible for facilitating the involvement for graduate students within the Association and for addressing graduate student issues and needs.  Sponsors the Pro-Am Tour, a mentor program, and other graduate related activities at the annual conference.

Human Relations Committee 
Responsible for  encouraging, creating, and promoting programs which address multicultural issues in the workforce, residence halls, and the college community and sponsor programs to ensure that the Association and the annual conference are inviting of diversity and are responsive to multi-cultural issues.   

Membership Services Committee 
Responsible for recruiting new members and creating opportunities for members' involvement in SEAHO through the Newcomer's meeting, SEAHO Solos, the Involvement Fair, and other conference events.

Nominations and Elections Committee 
Responsible for soliciting candidates for all available offices and for conducting the election process in accordance with procedures established in the constitution.

Placement Committee 
Responsible for sponsoring a placement process at the annual conference and for promoting programs and information which facilitates career development and placement needs.

Research and Information Committee 
Responsible for maintaining standardized data and information data related to applicable research surveys; serving as a clearinghouse for current information/data; assigning institutions with specialized research projects and sponsoring the SEAHO Research Grant Program. 

How Do You Get Involved?
The Involvement Fair at the annual conference gives you an opportunity to learn about SEAHO committees.  Please visit the fair at the conference and learn more about what SEAHO has to offer you.
If you are unable to visit the Involvement Fair, you may complete any Involvement Form included in the conference packet, printed in the SEAHO Report or by completing a printable form.
If you are unsure where your talents best fit in SEAHO, or if you have questions about SEAHO, please contact any Governing Council member and/or your State Representative.
