The Host Committee is pleased to invite all SEAHO members to the Louisville conference. This will be the 50th conference meeting. In light of this, our theme is the same as that of the 1st meeting. The details are as follows:
Theme: Today's Challenge and Tomorrow's Direction
Dates:
- Conference: February 18-21, 2014
- Mid-year Meeting: October 20-22, 2013
Hotel and meeting space: Marriott Louisville Downtown
Costs: $163
a night which includes internet capability at no additional charge and a
discounted rate of $10 a day for parking. ($20 extra fee a night for 3-4 people
in a room) The Marriott is located right in the heart of Louisville and prime
entertainment, educational, and cultural activities are within walking distance.
Associate area: 20,000 square feet of space in the Ballroom. We can hold up to 100 10x10 square feet booths easily. Booth fees are $895 for a single booth and $1790 for a double. 50% of the booth rental fee will be returned to SEAHO per the host guide.
Transportation:
The Louisville
Regional airport is only 15 minutes away and has 6 major airlines (American,
Delta, Frontier, Southwest, United, and US Airways) that offer daily flights
from all parts of the Southeast. For
those using cars, Louisville has interstates 64, 65, and 71 within the city.
Meeting space: The
Hotel will be hosting all of our events except for the opening reception on
Wednesday at Churchill Downs. (We will provide transportation to the location
and back that evening). We will have 10 program rooms, a registration area,
spaces for the program and host committees, and more. Seven of the program
rooms are located across near the associate area, ensuring constant traffic flow
back and forth.
Registration fee: $215
for all delegates, this rate includes the $35 add-on fee per delegate from the
SEAHO Governing Council.
Local attractions: Louisville offers something for everyone: from Baseball fans, to Boxing fans, to Racehorse fans, to clubs, restaurants, and more all within walking distance. You can count on your host committee to have several exciting opportunities to soak in the culture that is Louisville.
