Welcome to the Placement Committee

The Placement Committee is comprised of members a chair-select and a chairperson appointed by the President.  The Placement committee is responsible for sponsoring a placement process at the annual conference and for promoting programs and information, which facilitate career development and placement needs. The Southern Placement Exchange liaison serves as a member of the placement committee.

Placement Committee Charge

The Committee will:

  • Coordinate the placement process at the SEAHO Conference
  • Identify ways for SEAHO to serve the career development and placement needs of the membership.
  • Identify or develop programs to be offered at the SEAHO Conference on topics related to career advancement for housing professionals.
  • Provide articles for the SEAHO Report on topics related to career development.

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Serve as employer liaison to handle communication, position postings and assist with overall employer placement process.
  • Serve as candidate liaison to handle communication, position postings and assist with overall candidate placement process.
  • Serve as a social media coordinator to assist with communication during the annual conference.
  • Serve on panels or as program presenters for sessions targeting career development and placement needs.
  • Participate in leading employer and candidate placement orientations.
