Graduate Issues and Involvement Committee

The Graduate Issues and Involvement Committee is composed of members and a chairperson appointed by the President. The Chairperson attends Governing Council meetings as a non-voting member. The Committee is responsible for addressing graduate student issues and needs, and facilitating graduate student involvement, and for programs and information, which facilitate graduate student development. The Committee Addresses the needs and issues of graduate students and facilitates their involvement into the organization. In conjunction with the Awards and Recognition Chair, the committee coordinates selection of the Graduate Student of the Year Award by choosing a recipient and notifying the Awards and Recognition Committee Chair. The Committee submits reports and budget proposals to the Member at Large according to stated deadlines.

Committee Purpose:

The purpose of the Graduate Issues and Involvement Committee is to strive to offer the best in year-round service to the graduate students who are working in the field of housing and residence life within the SEAHO region and to develop connections and partnerships for those graduate students to further their professional growth and development.
